Did you know that Doheny State Beach is California’s first state beach? The beach was donated by oil tycoon, Edward L. Doheny in 1930 and named in his honor in 1963. The beach boasts and expanse of 62 acres and includes a day use surfing beach at the northern end and one of California’s most popular campgrounds in its southern area. Explore tide pools teaming with abalone, anemone, crabs, moray eels and more! With so many sights to see, what better way to see it all than on a bike?
