As you are all aware, a request for proposal (RFP) is a type of bidding solicitation in which a government entity (like a city’s Parks & Recreation Department) announces an opportunity is available for a particular project or program, and companies can place bids.

State, local and federal government agencies must publicly list RFPs to ensure the bid process remains open, transparent and fair. Governments and agencies typically maintain a purchase or procurement section on their websites listing open RFPs.
