Pinellas County, FL – Wheel Fun Rentals is excited to announce the launch of a self-guided kayak tour at Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs. Recognized as the industry leader in recreation and leisure rentals, Wheel Fun Rentals’ latest offering gives riders an informative and fun excursion through Gulf Coast waters around Fred Howard Park. This round trip self-guided tour takes riders under the Fred Howard Causeway to Sunset Beach where they can admire the sights of Tarpon Springs’ charming beach community, mangrove forests, expansive ecosystem, and more. Guests can sightsee, relax, and paddle until their heart’s content during this self-guided kayak tour.

The new self-guided kayak tour by Wheel Fun Rentals is perfect for all skill levels. Paddlers can choose between 1, 2 and 3 hour round-trip tour options.  The myriad of points of interest provide riders with plenty of landmarks and animals to admire, learn, and explore! Self-guided kayak tour maps are available at Wheel Fun Rentals’ location at 1700 Sunset Drive. Tour equipment is $30 for a single kayak or $35 for a double kayak for adventures up to four hours in duration; waterproof bags are also available to keep belongings dry and safe. Riders are fitted with a life jacket and supplied with a large tour map with easy to follow directions and engaging points of interest. The tour route is designed with safety in mind and to avoid or minimize obstructions at low tide or choppy water. Riders should come prepared to get a little wet from the drip of their paddle and splash of the water. Dress for the weather; lightweight, synthetic clothing is best. Riders should prepare to be out in the sun; sunglasses, sun block and a hat that won’t blow off.  A water bottle is also strongly recommended.
