The day we planned to pack out of Denver and heading to Vail we wanted to do a short trip in Denver. We headed over to Washington Park. The 155 acre park with walking paths, flower gardens and two lakes, has Wheel Fun Rentals on site. Wheel Fun offers both bike and boat rentals. They have great family options with Surrey bikes (family bikes) and double Surrey bikes which can hold up to six adults and two children under the age of six. They also have low bikes, two-seaters (not tandems) and regular bikes for rent. There is a path around the small lake that is perfect for the rental bikes especially the larger and heavier ones that are hard to go far distances with.
There are also many options for boat rentals. They have pedal boats, double pedal boats, kayaks, double kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards and the cute water trikes (pedal boats shaped like a bike). All rentals both bike and boat rentals start at an hour minimum. The lake is quite small so there is enough time to get to all parts with the boats.
