RENTAL GUIDELINES


Rules differ for group reservations.

  • Renters must have a physical valid government-issued photo ID and be 18 years of age or older. We do not accept LA Wallet.
  • All Rentals: One-hour minimum. After first hour all rentals are prorated in 15 minute increments.
  • Last rental goes out 1 hour before closing.
  • We do not offer any refunds except Rain Checks for Weather Only.
  • Damaged Goods – you will be charged for product damaged during your rental.

 

SAFETY GUIDELINES:

  • Helmets and other safety equipment offered FREE. We recommend it!
  • All riders under 12 must wear a helmet – Louisiana State Law.
  • Surrey and Deuce Coupe drivers must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Quad Sport and Chopper riders MUST be at least 10 Years of age or older.
  • Ride safely, use common sense, watch for others and obey all traffic laws.
  • Please be certain you receive & understand riding instructions prior to renting

 

WATERCRAFT RULES:

  • Everyone must wear a correctly fitted PFD/Life jacket at all times.
  • Exiting/entering your boat from any place other than the designated launch area is NOT permitted and will result in termination of your rental with no refund.
  • Please be mindful of fishermen and their lines in the water.
  • No swimming or jumping from any watercraft.
  • ALCOHOLIC beverages are NOT permitted at any time before or during watercraft rentals.
  • Please be certain you receive & understand user instructions prior to renting.
  • Swan pedal boats are not allowed beyond the bridge.
  • If you cannot bring the boat back on your own, you will be charged a towing fee of $50 (+tax)

 

BOAT AGE LIMITS:

  • Swan Boats: All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied onboard by parent or guardian.
  • Kayaks / Canoes: Minors under 18 must be accompanied on the water by a parent/guardian. (Max. 2 children per parent/ guardian.) Additionally, riders must be 10 years of age or older to be on a Single Kayak and 3 years of age or older when accompanied by a parent or guardian on a Double Kayak or Canoe.

 

BOAT CAPACITIES:

  • Small Swan Boat: 2 adults & 2 small children under 10 yrs.
  • Large Swan Boat: Up to 5 people.
  • Single Kayak: Maximum 1 Adult
  • Double Kayak: Maximum 2 Adults
  • Canoe: Maximum 3 Adults only or 2 Adults and 2 children 12 years of age or under. The total weight of the occupants must be less that 650 lbs.

 

Review Release of Liability Agreement for full rental terms & conditions. All equipment rented is subject to the rules of operation.Failure to obey is subject to immediate termination of rental without refund.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS


BOATS & KAYAKS:

  • All boaters must wear fully buckled lifejackets at all times
  • Do not stand in boat.
  • All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied onboard by parent or guardian.
  • Do not beach the boat, as you may damage the boat wheel or rudder. Please return to the dock to drop off or pick up passengers.
  • Maintain a distance of 50 feet from the shore at all times. If yo get stuck and cannot return the boat on your own, you will be charged a towing fee of $50 (+tax)
  • Upon return, please wait for us to help you out of the boat.
  • No swimming or jumping from any watercraft. Horseplay will not be tolerated.
  • When the wind is blowing, we recommend boaters initially travel into the wind.
  • If you need assistance or see someone who needs assistance, please call the number printed on the decal inside the boat.

 

IF A NIGHT RIDE

  • Also, please keep the noise level down, so as not to disturb the surrounding community.

 

SURREY CYCLES:

  • The brake lever is located next to the steering wheel. Please use the brake at all times when going downhill. Practice and become comfortable with the brakes before beginning your ride. 
  • For all people in the pedaling position – when backing up please put your feet on the ground away from the pedals & cranks, not on frame or Chainguard and push backwards. The pedals rotate backwards and can hit you in the shin or pinch your foot.
  • Maximum 3 riders per seat, no sidesaddle, no standing & no hanging on the outside.
  • Obey all rules of the road, maintain safe speeds and watch for cars & pedestrians.
  • Helmets are recommended for everyone, and helmets are required for minors under 12 years old – Louisiana State Law.
  • Secure your wallet, cell phone, and anything else that may be in you back pocket.

 

IF A NIGHT RIDE

  • Also, please keep the noise level down, so as not to disturb the surrounding community.

 

SPECIALTY CYCLES (DEUCE COUPES, CHOPPERS, QUAD SPORTS):

  • You must be 16 years of age or older to drive a Deuce Coupe.
  • You must be10 years of age or older to ride / drive a Chopper or Quad Sport.
  • These have pedal brakes which work by backpedaling. Please use the brakes at all times when going downhill. Practice and become comfortable with the brakes before beginning your ride.
  • No extra riders, no sidesaddle, no standing & no hanging on the outside.
  • The Chopper and Quad Sport bikes are not bumper cars. Do not hit each other with the bikes.
  • Do not try to to “drift” any specialty cycles.  If you return the bike with the chain off the sprocket, you will be charged a $10 repair fee.
  • Obey all rules of the road, maintain safe speeds and watch for cars & pedestrians.

  • Secure your wallet, cell phone, and anything else that may be in your back pocket.

 

CRUISERS/SINGLE-SPEED BIKES (if applicable at location):

  • These have pedal brakes which work by backpedaling. Please use the brake at all times when going downhill. Practice and become comfortable with the brakes before beginning your ride.
  • Be cautious when turning on sand, gravel, or debris is on the road surface; your front wheel could slide out.
  • When on roads, ride single file do not ride two or three abreast.
  • Ride with the traffic (on the right side of the road).
  • Obey all traffic laws, signs and signals.
  • Ride carefully where cars are parked; people don’t look for cyclists when they pull out or open their car doors.
  • Helmets are recommended for everyone, and helmets are required for minors under 12 years old – Louisiana State Law.
