For Immediate Release:
July 2, 2020
New Orleans, LA – This summer, the fun doesn’t stop when the sun sets – it’s just beginning! Wheel Fun Rentals is bringing back extended hours at their New Orleans City Park location on Big Lake to offer night-time, LED-lit swan boat rentals for the summer starting Friday, July 3rd!
Visitors and locals alike will be able to light up the lake every Friday and Saturday night through Labor Day with Wheel Fun Rentals’ iconic swan pedal boats. LED lights are mounted onto the sides and neck of the swans, creating an electrifying twilight experience that pairs perfectly with the New Orleans night sky.
Night-time rentals will be available at New Orleans City Park’s Big Lake every Friday and Saturday evening from Sunset until 10 p.m. Pricing is $11 per hour for adults 18 and older, and $6 per hour for children 17 and under and no reservations are required.
“We are very excited to bring back this fun evening experience,” said Rodney Knight, owner and operator of Wheel Fun Rentals, on the decision to restart night-time boat rentals. “We’re always looking for new ways for guests to enjoy the park and our products; and, bringing back the swan boat night rides allows us to continue to provide that.”
Having operated in New Orleans City Park since 2013, Wheel Fun Rentals introduced Swan Boats in 2018. These iconic boats have become a staple activity in the area for families, date nights, parties and more – including the Wednesdays with Wheel Fun program that provides free rentals to non-profit charities every week. With locations across the country, Wheel Fun Rentals has operated and lead the recreation industry for over 20 years.
