New customizable lights transform the iconic Surreys into a festive Halloween experience — with a distinctly Los Angeles twist on Dodgers playoff nights

For Immediate Release:
October 10, 2026

Long Beach, CA – Halloween is getting a whole lot more fun – and a little more affordable – at Wheel Fun Rentals. This October, Wheel Fun Rentals at Shoreline Village is debuting a brand-new Halloween theme for its popular illuminated Surrey Night Rides, featuring newly customized lights that will transform the iconic four-wheel cycles into a rolling Halloween light show in ghoulish green, spooky purple, and festive orange.

Beginning Friday, October 9 and running through Halloween, the festive themed Surreys will offer families, friends and couples a fun, spooky, and affordable way to celebrate along the Long Beach waterfront.

And because this is Los Angeles, there’s one special exception to the Halloween colors: on Dodgers playoff game nights, the Surreys will trade their ghoulish orange, green, or purple glow for Dodger Blue in support of the hometown team. It’s a distinctly SoCal way to celebrate Halloween while cheering on the Dodgers.

The Halloween Surreys will be especially fitting on Saturday, October 17, when Shoreline Village hosts its annual Zombie Walk. Guests can dress in their best zombie costumes, take part in the event, and add an illuminated Surrey ride to their evening for a uniquely Long Beach Halloween experience. With the Surreys glowing green, purple, and orange, the waterfront becomes the perfect backdrop for a night of costumes, lights, and seasonal fun. “October is the perfect time to turn up the fun and add a little spooky spirit to our Surrey Night Rides,” said Mike Ullerick, Wheel Fun Rentals Director of Operations. “The green, purple, and orange lights create an incredible nighttime experience, and the Zombie Walk is a natural fit for a Halloween-themed ride. It’s a fun, and budget friendly, way for families, friends and couples to enjoy the season together.”

Illuminated Surrey Night Rides are available 7 days-a-week at Shoreline Village beginning at sunset until 10pm and reservations are available online. Pricing is just $30 for a Single Surrey (seats up to 3 adults and 2 small children), and $40 for a Double Surrey (seats up to 6 adults and 2 small children). As compared to other immersive Halloween and illuminated walk-through experiences in the area costing between $50 to $75 or more per person, depending on the event, date and ticket type, the Surrey Night Rides are an affordable option for families.
