This self-guided bike tour of Oxnard Shores and the Channel Islands Harbor begins at our Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach location and takes riders along Silver Strand and Hollywood Beach, through Port of Hueneme, and past charming beach shops and eateries! Our self-guided bike tour is included FREE with half-day and full-day rentals while the majority of the route is on a dedicated bike path.

The coolest new way to explore Oxnard’s iconic beaches – zipping down the coastal boardwalk on a battery-powered E-Bike! See more and go farther while maintaining your laid-back pace on dedicated bike paths. Our Self-Guided Electric Bike Tour map included FREE with half-day and full-day rentals and provides turn-by-turn instructions that lead you to some of Oxnard Shore’s most interesting and historic locations, and our pedal-assist e-bikes allow you to ride with less effort providing maximum fun!

You’ll get the full California beach-town experience as you visit the Channel Islands Harbor, Silver Strand Beach and Channel Park; or explore Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach – the only four-diamond beach resort in Southern California! Hollywood Beach

Once home to Clark “King of Hollywood” Gable, this popular stretch of sand is lined with unique beachfront mansions, and offers a spectacular view of the colorful sunsets.

Oxnard Beach Park

Take a break from your e-bike adventure to admire the colorful kites that dot the sky over this sprawling meadow. Adjacent to the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Resort, the park has an excellent view of the Channel Islands National Park and the Channel Islands Marine Sanctuary.

Channel Islands Yacht Club

The Channel Islands Yacht Club has offered activities, dining and events for over 60 years. While you ride by the marina on your e-bike, keep an eye out for members racing sailboats through the Channel Islands Harbor!

La Jenelle Park

This definitely isn’t your typical beachside park! La Jenelle, the luxury ocean liner that met its demise in 1970 when a storm damaged the ship beyond repair, remains to this day in the form of large, jagged pieces poking out of the sand and water that serve as a breakwater for the port!

Fishermans' Wharf

Built and decorated as a delightful nod to the famous San Francisco neighborhood, Fishermans’ Wharf at the Channel Islands Harbor has been a peaceful spot to unwind and watch the boats since the 1970’s.

The Scarlett Belle

Catch a glimpse of this classic riverboat as it transports wedding guests and other party goers across the harbor, equipped with a paddlewheel, multiple dance flours, and sophisticated décor.

What's included on my tour?

Our self-guided tours includes an electric bike, a route map with all the great points of interest and historic facts about the area, a helmet, bike bag or basket, and a bike lock.

What do I need to bring?

We have your ride and route covered - so all you need to bring are comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and your camera. And don't forget to bring some cash for lunch or a snack along the way! Bike bags/baskets are provided on all bikes for easy storage of items.

How long is the tour?

While on one of our self-guided tours, you can expect to be out exploring for 2 to 3 hours. This includes approximately 1 hour of riding time and 1 to 2 hours for lunch, shopping, photo opts, and exploring the area.
