Free Swan Pedal Boat Rides for Los Angeles Nonprofits

Los Angeles – Wheel Fun Rentals announces it will be offering FREE rentals to nonprofit organizations, for a second year, in Los Angeles with a program called “Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals!”  Every Wednesday, Wheel Fun Rentals will be donating rental equipment, completely free of charge, to two charity organizations.

Officially named “Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals,” this program offers local charities a free two-hour recreational rental group event. The program accommodates two nonprofit groups each Wednesday morning for up to 20 participants in each group. Reservations are required, and dates book up fast. Nonprofits are encouraged to make their reservation as soon as possible by calling 805-650-7770.

“For over 12 years we’ve been offering free rentals to Big Brothers Big Sisters Chapters through a program we started called Biking & Boating Buddies,” said Justin Jay, Echo Park Boat Manager. “We are proud to take our community support a step further and invite all 501c3 non-profit organizations to join us for 2 hours of free recreation on Wednesdays.”

Wheel Fun Rentals is offering this program at both Echo Park and Lake Balboa locations in Los Angeles. Non-profits that take advantage of this program will have the opportunity to glide across the water in Swan Boats, and if going to Lake Balboa, also have the opportunity to use a full range of bikes and specialty cycles in addition to the Swan Boats.

The “Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals” program is the perfect opportunity for nonprofit groups to thank their volunteers, show appreciation to donors, or use as a group and teambuilding event for staff and/or the people they serve. Of course, kids are welcome, too! Children of any age are permitted to use rental equipment with a chaperone that is at least 18 years old. Reminder: only two nonprofits are booked each Wednesday (one at each location) and reservations fill up fast. Nonprofit organizations should reserve their spot by contacting Wheel Fun Rentals at 805-650-77770, and mentioning the Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals program.  See the full list of organizations that took advantage of the program last year >

Wheel Fun Rentals also regularly donates $80-valued gift certificates to local schools and charity organizations for their fundraising efforts. To make a donation request send letter and tax ID # to donations@wheelfunrentals.com.
