General FAQ
Do I need to make a reservation?
No reservation is needed! All rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we do accept reservations for groups of 15 or more. Contact us by e-mail at wheelie@317outfitters.com or call (317) 969-8980 to make your group reservation.
What are your hours of operations?
Our rental hours vary seasonally and are weather permitting (50°F+ and dry). Please view the contact page for current hours of operation and follow our Facebook, X, and Instagram accounts for up-to-date closure information.

10811 Olio Road, Fishers, IN 46040.
Is there parking nearby?
Geist Waterfront Park parking is free for Fishers residents and non-residents during non-peak hours. During peak hours from 1pm – 6pm Saturdays and Sundays, non-residents pay $25 per vehicle. Non-residents can pay at the front gate. Fishers residents do not need a Smart Pass; they can show a government-issued ID at the entrance.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Geist Waterfront Park is a cashless facility. We accept card and mobile payments.
Do you require a deposit?
No, a deposit is not required, though a valid government-issued photo ID is required for all rentals.
Is there an age requirement to rent?
- Renters must be 18 years of age or older with a valid government-issued photo ID.
- Riders must be at least 10 years old to be on a single kayak or SUP.
- All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied on the water by a parent or guardian (maximum of 2 children per adult).
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are permitted on certain watercraft, and they do count towards the watercraft passenger capacity limit.
Safety & Policies
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes, renters must know how to swim to rent any watercraft.
Are life jackets provided?
Yes, life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times while on the water.
What happens in the case of bad weather?
Rentals may be paused or canceled in the event of rain, lightning, or high winds. We do not offer refunds for weather-related cancellations, but do provide rain checks.
Are there any restrictions for boat use?

- Swimming is prohibited in Geist Reservoir.
- Jumping from any watercraft is prohibited.
- Inflatables, pool noodles, and towing are prohibited.
- Exiting or entering your boat from any place other than the designated launch area is not permitted.
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at any time before or during watercraft rentals.

Yes, we welcome group outings, corporate events, and celebrations. We offer unique field trips for schools or summer camps and corporate teambuilding options.
