Hayden Homes Amphitheatre

An outdoor riverfront amphitheater in the historic Old Mill District is the largest outdoor music venue in Oregon, accommodating approximately 8,000 people for concerts and other events in a casual outdoor setting.

Drake Park

The Drake Park interpretive sign (located directly in front of the public restrooms) describes Bend’s early sense of community spirit. This popular downtown community gathering place hosts many events throughout the spring, summer and fall. Features include nearly one half mile of riverfront, acres of open lawn, an outdoor stage, restrooms and small picnic tables.

DRAKE PARK
Mirror Pond

Mirror Pond is the area of the Deschutes River located in downtown Bend between Galveston Bridge and Newport Bridge, where the river widens as it winds its way past Harmon, Pageant, Drake, and Brooks parks and residential properties. An identifying feature of the City of Bend since the early 1900s, Mirror Pond is created by the Pacific Power and Light hydroelectric dam that is located just downstream of Newport Avenue Bridge.

McKay Park

This park is the site of the Oregon Trail Railroad interpretive sign, which describes Bend’s early railroad history. Named for Clyde McKay, McKay Park was opened in May 2000 and quickly became a very popular addition to the District’s collection of riverfront parks. McKay Park is an excellent choice for taking a break from the hustle and bustle.
