Seaside Bike Tour

This self-guided bike tour of Seaside, Oregon starts at our location on Avenue A and takes you through the city and along the coastline while teaching you about some of Seaside’s most compelling points of interest. See the Lewis and Clark Trail, the Seaside Promenade, and Necanicum Estuary Park. All included FREE with 3-hour and 6-hour rentals!

The Turnaround at Seaside is designated as the official end of the Lewis and Clark Trail, which is the first stop on this tour. See the salt works where Lewis and Clark expedition set up a camp and boiled seawater to obtain salt. Stop by the Seaside Aquarium and pet starfish and view many other ocean attractions. Check out Goodman Park, the Seaside Historical Society Museum, Necanicum Estuary Park, Gilbert District, Quatat Park, Surfers Cove, Tillamook Head, and more. All included free with half-day and full-day rentals.

Lewis & Clark Trail and Statue

The Turnaround at Seaside, Oregon, is designed as the official end of the Lewis and Clark Trail. In 1990, a bronze statue of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark and Seaman, was installed facing the ocean at the west end of Broadway at the Turnaround on the center of the Promenade.

The only one of its kind on the Oregon coast, the Seaside Promenade is an 8,000-foot long concrete boardwalk between central Seaside and its spectacular beach.

Necanicum Estuary Park

Wildlife Viewing The Necanicum Estuary (where the river meets the ocean) is a diverse natural habitat and a great place to explore.

Salt Works

The Salt Works marks the site where the Lewis and Clark expedition set up a camp and boiled seawater to obtain salt for use at Fort Clatsop and on the return journey to St. Louis.

What's included on my tour?

Our self-guided tours include your choice of bicycle, a route map with all the great points of interest and historic facts about the area, a helmet, bike bag or basket, and a bike lock. Plus, our rental clerks are happy to help you select the perfect bike for your adventure.

What do I need to bring?

We have your ride and route covered - so all you need to bring are comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and your camera. And don't forget to bring some cash for lunch or a snack along the way! Bike bags/baskets are provided on all bikes for easy storage of items.

How long is the tour?

While on one of our self-guided tours, you can expect to be out exploring for 3 to 4 hours. This includes approximately 2 hours of riding time and 1 to 2 hours for lunch, shopping, photo opts, and exploring the area.
