Tacoma is the Perfect Destination for a Car-Free Adventure

On a recent car-free day trip, my husband and I relied on four modes of public transportation (plus some walking) and discovered there’s more to Tacoma than the Dome. Covered surreys are a popular way to get around the Waterwalk at Point Ruston, a residential, dining and entertainment complex on the site of the former Asarco smelter. Bikes and four-wheeled surreys can be rented from Wheel Fun Rentals on the Waterwalk at Point Ruston.
