Ventura to Ojai E-Bike Tour

Navigate on your e-bike from under the Ventura Pier towards the rustic city of Ojai. Easily glide on your way on the safe Ventura River Trail that connects to the Ojai Valley Trail creating a spectacular 17-mile urban bike ride (34 miles round-trip). The majority of the route is on a dedicated bike path away from vehicular traffic and included FREE with half-day and full-day rentals.

Your e-bike tour, included FREE with half-day and full-day rentals, starts under the Ventura Pier and takes you on a dedicated bike path inland toward the city of Ojai via the Ventura River Trail and the Ojai Valley Trail that connect to create a spectacular 17-mile urban bike ride (34 miles round-trip). Once you’ve made your way to the Ventura River Trail, you’ll be riding parallel to the Ventura River all the way to Ojai safely tucked away from vehicle traffic.

On your way up to the Ventura River Trail, you’ll ride smoothly by The Ortega Adobe in Ventura, the first home of one of the most popular brands of food found in supermarkets nationwide. Ortega Chilis. Along the way you’ll pass the beautiful the bronze sculpture collection, “A Delicate Balance” by Ralph Allen Massey, the Ventura River Trail spills into Foster Park, which offers an incredible view of the Ventura River. Once you make it up to Ojai, spend some time riding around the city and checking out the recently restored Libbey Park before heading back to Ventura.

Our beachside location on the south side of the Ventura Pier is the perfect launching point for your Ventura sight-seeing adventure.

Ventura River Trail & Ojai Valley Trail

Cruise the length of the combined Ventura River Trail and Ojai Vally Trail which is a dedicated two-lane bike path along the Ventura River that is safely tucked away from vehicle traffic. This spectacular 17-mile bike ride (34 miles round-trip) is full of history and beautiful views!

The Ortega Adobe

The popular fire-roasted Ortega Chile was perfected here 150 years ago by Emilio Ortega. The Ortega brand is now found in supermarkets throughout the U.S.

Westpark Community Center

This youth center has water fountains, restrooms, and murals. One mural entitled “Community Pride” spans over 500 square feet.

Libbey Park and Bowl

Ojai’s Libbey Park was a gift to the City from glass magnate Edmund Libbey. This beautiful park offers a playground, tennis courts, bandstand, and the Libbey Bowl, site of the Ojai Music Festival and other events.

What's included on my tour?

Our self-guided tours includes a E-Bike, a route map with all the great points of interest and historic facts about the area, a helmet, bike bag or basket, and a bike lock. Plus, our rental clerks are happy to help you select the perfect bike for your adventure.

What do I need to bring?

We have your ride and route covered - so all you need to bring are comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and your camera. And don't forget to bring some cash for lunch or a snack along the way! Bike bags/baskets are provided on all bikes for easy storage of items.

How long is the tour?

While on one of our self-guided tours, you can expect to be out exploring for 5 to 6 hours. This includes approximately 4 hours of riding time and 1 to 2 hours for lunch, shopping, photo ops, and exploring the area. This route also makes for a great partial 1 to 2 hour tour.
