Lake Harriet is well known for fishing, particularly for muskies. During your trip you are sure to encounter the famous castle-shaped bandshell, located on the north shore of the lake. This is the fifth music facility since 1888 and its design echoes the history of the area.
Every summer the bandshell hosts many concerts, offering an eclectic assortment of music from big bands to bluegrass to rock and roll. After your pleasant ride on Lake Harriet, reenergize at our Lake Harriet Concessions, where we offer delicious food, snacks, and drinks everyone will enjoy! Hop atop a stand-up paddleboard and glide across the mirror-like water. If you prefer to stay on land, grab a mountain bike or cruiser bike and cruise along the many bike trails throughout the area. With so many options, there is something for everyone!
