The Bend Park & Recreation District manages over 3,000 acres of parkland, both developed and undeveloped, in and around the city. This includes 84 parks and open spaces, as well as 75 miles of scenic trails. With more than 1,000 recreational programs designed for all ages and abilities, the district provides a wide range of activities for the community. In recognition of its outstanding efforts, the Bend Park & Recreation District received the prestigious National Gold Medal Award for excellence in park and recreation management in 2006.

Conveniently located across from Bend’s Old Mill District and right next to Wheel Fun Rentals, this park is the ideal spot to end a fun-filled day with your furry friend.

Haul Road Trail

Built along the path of an old railroad that once transported lumber for nearby mills, the Haul Road Trail begins just east of the Skyline Sports Complex. The trail stretches for five miles southwest along Century Drive, reaching the eastern border of Willamette National Forest.

Tour FAQs

What's included on my tour?

Our guided tours include your choice of bicycle, a professional local guide to show you all the great points of interest and historic facts about the area, a helmet, bike bag or basket, and a bike lock. Plus, our rental clerks are happy to help you select the perfect bike for your adventure.

What do I need to bring?

We have your ride and route covered - so all you need to bring are comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and your camera. And don't forget to bring some cash for lunch or a snack along the way! Bike bags/baskets are provided on all bikes for easy storage of items.

How long is the tour?

While on one of our self-guided tours, you can expect to be out exploring for 2 hours. This includes approximately 1.5 hours of riding time and 30 minutes to an hour for snacks, photo ops, and exploring the area.
