Behind the Scenes

About us

Bde Maka Ska is the largest lake in Minneapolis. It joins the Lake of the Isles through a long channel and is the biggest lake of five that make up the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes. Surrounded by city park land and circled by bike and walking trails, it is popular for many outdoor activities like canoeing, fishing, wind surging, swimming, sailing, and of course, biking.

Although this summer is drastically different than years past, Minnesota remains the perfect destination for healthy, outdoor recreation. Wheel Fun Rentals offers pedal boats, kayaks, SUP‘s and more at both Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis. Get out on the water with your family in a pedal boat, or spend the day with a friend on your own SUP’s.

Check out the popular Lake of the Isles as well, where you can paddle your kayak or SUP beneath bridges and through tunnels!
